How to apply for your Tanzania Visa for Kilimanjaro

Type of Visa required

Single entry travel visa (Also known as Ordinary Visa). This has a validity of 3 months with effect from date of issue and a maximum period of stay of 90 days.

Getting your visa online

  1. Follow the link to create a new visa application - CLICK HERE

3. After completing the first page it will bring you onto this larger form, asking you for a copy of your passport etc.

4. As the application progresses you will receive an e-mail message containing a User Identification Number which is used to track the application online - keep this safe!

5. After the form is completed you will be required to make payment

6. Upon successful payment, you can submit your application

7. Once an e-visa has been granted you will be able to download and print their visa grant notice to be presented at the point of entry.

E-Visa can be applied a maximum six months prior to the applicant’s travel. There is currently no express service for e-visa application. A person traveling in less than ten working days will still be able to get a visa upon arrival PROVIDED that the applicant’s nationality does not fall under referred visa category.
