Itinerary
Day 1: Thursday Evening - Arrival and Briefing

Arrive in Scotland and meet up at accommodation.

Welcome evening meal with your mountain guide and fellow EverTrekkers.

Briefing and kit check for the exciting days ahead.

Day 2: Friday - First Day in the Mountains

Morning:

Early start for your first day in the Scottish mountains.

Learn core aspects of winter mountaineering, including crampon and ice axe use.

Trekking route dependent on weather and snow conditions for a full winter mountain day.

Evening:

Return to accommodation for refueling and hydration.

Day 3: Saturday - Second Day in the Mountains

Full Day:

Expand on mountain and winter skills learned on the first day.

Introduction to winter navigation.

Tackle steeper and more challenging terrain if conditions permit.

Evening:

Return to accommodation for a well-deserved bite to eat and perhaps a pint.

Day 4: Sunday - Final Day in the Mountains

Half Day:

Explore emergency situations and avalanche awareness.

Review key skills covered over the weekend.

Afternoon:

Finish early afternoon at the mountain ski cafe for a de-brief with cake.

Drop-off in Aviemore by 4 pm.

What gear do I need?
So, what about the gear you need for this winter adventure?
Well, we provide Ice Axe, Crampons and helmets, it's up to you to bring the correct winter trekking clothing so you can stay warm, dry and enjoy your experience. Check out this article we put together for winter mountaineering to give you some pointers on gear!
Tip - make sure your daypack is big enough to store your crampons, helmet, lunch and any extra layers you may need for the day! Check out this blog about bags for some ideas!
Boots are super important for winter trekking like this! So make sure you bring some well walked in B2 Winter boots! You don't want to be getting sore feet on this training weekend!
