What are the toilets like on the K2 Base Camp Trek?
After running trips around the world for over half a decade, there’s not many questions the EverTrek Yetis haven’t been asked.
One of the most hesitantly asked questions is also definitely one of the most commonly asked ones - what are the toilets like on the K2 Base Camp trek?
The good news is, there are toilets! The local councils & authorities have ensured that most of the campsites have fixed toilets and washing areas which you’re free to use. You can expect to find this in all campsites, bar maybe a couple. Do bear in mind that these facilities are promised to be usable however they may not be in the best condition.
EverTrekkers additionally benefit from a private toilet tent. This provides a little bit of luxury as it is only you and others in your group who will have access to this, meaning it’s likely to be in better condition than the public loos! The toilet tents are designed with privacy in mind, but are basic and won’t have flush systems.
You’ll be provided with toilet paper so do not need to bring this with you unless you wish.
That wasn’t so bad was it? Remember, #EverbodyPoops!
