The EverTrek training weekends have legendary status these days as both EverTrekkers and Yetis come together for a weekend of trekking in the scenic yet challenging Brecon Beacons.

Whether you're booked onto your first trek with us, or you’re an EverTrekker veteran, part of the journey is the way you prepare for each trip.

That’s why we created these training weekends where our CEO & Head Yeti Andy as well as Head of Global Ops & Painted Yeti Dave discuss your trek and get you fully prepared for your trek. Whether that be Everest Base Camp, Kilimanjaro or even on one of the 6000m peak trips, this weekend is well worth the experience.

So what happens on these weekends?

We created them with trip preparation in mind so these weekends are a way you can get those burning trip questions answered, check your gear is suitable for your trek, pick up some insider tips and tricks that can make the difference as well as getting to know the EverTrek team.

If you’ve seen one of our Tuesday Tune-In LIVE Q & A’s, just think of a weekend version of this with lots of trekking sprinkled in.

  • An opportunity to meet fellow EverTrekkers on your trip and other groups. You get to meet people in your trekking group
  • Enjoy an awesome hiking weekend in the Brecon Beacons, Wales.
  • Why not bring the equipment that you will use for your trek where we can give you advice and check it out for you.
  • Get to meet Andy, Dave and the EverTrek team
  • Special guest from the Altitude Centre London, presenting an informative talk and demonstration featuring their kit, including the chance to experience simulated altitude firsthand.

This trip is ideal if you have booked onto any of our high altitude treks like Kilimanjaro, Everest Base Camp or Machu Picchu as well as some of other higher altitude treks.

We'll also have our weekend briefing and meet some of the mountain guides who will be with us for the weekend.

Whilst food for this evening isn't included, we do arrange for a large pizza delivery for this evening from our friends at The Proper Pizza Company in Brecon. One of the team will be in touch with you to take your preorder and payment if you want to get involved!!

Today will be an early start, grabbing some much-needed breakfast before we set off for a full day in the mountains. We normally spend around 5-7 hours out hiking.

This day is all about enjoyment in the mountains. We usually include a summit of one or a few of the local peaks but we will also go through some useful tips and chat about your upcoming trips. We will talk about acclimatisation, hydration, pace and also what you will expect out in the Himalayas.

In the evening, we head off to a fantastic Nepalese restaurant for some traditional food so you can get a real taste for Nepal!

Meals included - Breakfast.

Must bring your own packed lunch. Evening meal is arranged by EverTrek and paid for seperately.

Our last day, it comes round so quickly!! We usually spend the morning in break out groups, focusing on specific topics like how to pack for Everest Base Camp, technical kit, dealing with altitude and mountain safety.

Once all your questions have been answered we will head out for a gentle walk, the day normally ends after lunchtime depending on the weather when you can then head home after an awesome weekend of hiking.
