How Difficult is the Langtang Valley Trek?

First-timers can totally handle this trek, reaching an altitude of 3800m, with an optional ascent of Kyanjin Ri at over 4700m if you’re feeling particularly adventurous.

Get ready to embrace a variety of terrain, from narrow ridges to exhilarating ascents and descents. Covering 60 to 80 km, you’ll spend around 5-6 hours per day on the trail. While Langtang doesn’t hit the extreme altitudes of some other treks like Everest Base Camp, altitude sickness can still throw a curveball.
