A Tranquil 4-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Journey to Puno
Head off on a picturesque bus journey along the "Camino del Sol" from your Cusco hotel to Puno. Along the way, explore the Andahuayllillas Church, known as the "Sistine Chapel of the Andes," Raqchi (The God Temple), and the charming town of Pucara. Reach Puno and settle into your hotel for the night. RELAX!
Day 2: Uros Floating Islands and Amantani Homestay
Kick off your day with an awesome boat trip from the port, visiting the incredible Uros floating Islands. You'll want your camera ready for this! Crafted from reeds harvested from Lake Titicaca, these man-made islands are home to the Uros people. Continue to Amantani Island, where your group will split into smaller ones and stay in local homestays. Experience traditional food with a family, visit the community hall, and join in an evening of local dancing after being dressed in traditional local costumes by your hosts.
Day 3: Taquile Island's Textile Treasures
We'll go on a boat journey to Taquile Island, known for its exquisite handwoven textiles. A scenic walk to the village reveals the artistry of the locals, celebrated for their high-quality handicrafts. After lunch at a local restaurant, we'll walk it off and descend the 500 steps to the port, returning to Puno for the night. RELAX!
Day 4: Homeward Bound
In the morning, choose your return journey based on your international flight schedule. Opt for a domestic flight from Juliaca to Lima or enjoy a scenic return to Cusco by tourist bus. Safe travels home!
