The Itinerary - Your Chitwan Adventure
Day 1 - Welcome to the Jungle
Your Chitwan adventure begins at around 7:00 am where you'll leave Kathmandu and head southwest along the scenic Prithvi highway, passing lush green hills and the Trisuli River before arriving at the Machan Country Villa near Chitwan National park.
- Arrive with a hearty welcome!
- Enjoy lunch and explore the local village visits or simply lounging by the pool.
- Evening: Get your dancing shoes ready as you experience a Tharu cultural dance performance. Then sit back and learn about Chitwan National park with a presentation about Chitwan National Park's fascinating wildlife. ??
- As the sun sets you'll wrap up the day with a deliciour dinner under the stars in the Villa garden.
Day 2 - Jungle Safari & Exploration
After a hearty breakfast, sip a cup of hot tea whilst listening to the sounds of the jungle before you head out into the day for some jungle exploration.
- Morning Bird-Watching: Spot exotic birds with one of the local bird specialists.
- Jeep Safari & Vulture Feeding: It's time for the jeep safari. The Jeep safaris offer an exhilarating way to explore the region's beautiful and diverse wildlife. You'll get an opportunity to spot a wide range of wildlife, including rhinoceros, tigers, elephants, and various bird species. On the way you’ll get an opportunity to feed the Wild Vultures.
- Evening BBQ Dinner: After the day's adventures, there's another chance to see a cultural performance whilst relishing the grill delights. ??
Day 3 - Explore Chitwan Village life
Today is your day to explore Chitwan National Park at your own pace. You could hire a bike and explore the small villages, go hiking for some bird watching, or simply unwind at the hotel. The choice is yours!
- Cooking with Locals: Learn some Tharu cooking secrets and savor your handmade lunch.
- Canoeing on the Narayani River: Paddle away on serene waters, spotting more wildlife and even seeing the fantastic and unique Gharial Crocadile aquatic wonders.
- End with a Sundowner & dinner: A magical drink by the riverbank as the sun sets whilst digging into another epic meal at the Villa. ??
Day 4 - Return to Kathmandu
It's time to bid farewell to Chitwan as you head back to Kathmandu. The journey will take between 5-7 hours, depending on traffic. In the evening, enjoy a memorable farewell dinner at one of Kathmandu's finest restaurants. You'll spend the night at a hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 5 - Farewell & Departure
Today marks the end of your unforgettable journey with EverTrek. If your flight is scheduled for the early morning, our representative will escort you to the airport. If you have a later flight, you can explore Kathmandu's shopping areas or relax at the hotel. If you've booked additional accommodation through us, you can stay at the hotel until your departure.
